Michelle, The Director

Michelle has had more than 25 years of dance experience and 15 years of teaching experience. After earning a Bachelor's of Arts in Dance from Sam Houston State University, she went on to complete a Master's of Education at Texas A&M University. At Sam Houston State University, she choreographed dances for the spring show and danced in ChoDance Company. She was a member of Chi Tau Epsilon, a national dance honor society. She has taught all ages of students in a variety of dance forms. Michelle has choreographed several award-winning routines at national dance competitions. Michelle has studied under Dana Nicolay (former dancer of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Houston Ballet, and Dayton Ballet, Jonathan Smith (former Broadway Dancer in A Chorus Line, Jesus Christ Superstar, and many others), and Jennifer Pontius (former member of Pacific Dance Ensemble and Birmingham Ballet). She opened Center Stage in 2004 and looks forward to many more years of teaching.

Carrie

Carrie Siedlecki comes to Center Stage with more than 20 years of dance experience. Carrie began her dance training at Pat Holbrook’s Dance Studio in San Antonio, TX – attending multiple workshops and competitions including L.A. Dance Force and TATD. Carrie has spent time at the Edge Performing Arts Center with renown Hollywood teachers, such as Randy Allair, Rhonda Miller, Carol Connors, and Bill Prudich. She has also studied with Lane Alexander and Barbara Ryan Phillips of the Chicago Human Rhythm Project. After high school, she then went on to the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance – Performance and Choreography. One of Carrie’s highlights was when she danced with Tapestry Dance under the direction of Acia Gray. She now comes to us to share her diverse dance repertoire; including ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, lyrical, character, hip hop, and hula.

Katie

Katie has 15 years of gymnastics and cheerleading training. She began gymnastics as a child at the age of three. She fell in love with it, and moved on to compete as a USGF gymnast for several years. She tried out for cheerleader in the eighth grade and continued through high school. Katie's high school and all-star cheerleading squads consistently ranked in the top 15 squads in the nation at NCA National Championships. While earning a BS in Computer Science from Stephen F. Austin State University, Katie spent free time as a member of the Partner Stunt Team. She worked her way through college teaching preschool gymnastics and private cheerleading lessons. She is now a mother of two. Katie is enthusiastic about sharing her passion for cheerleading and gymnastics with her students.

Allison B.

Allison B. has had over 15 years of training in the areas of dance, cheerleading, and gymnastics. In dance, she has had formal studio training in ballet, pointe, jazz, hip hop, tap, and lyrical. At McNeil High School, she helped lead the Majestics Dance Team as lieutenant colonel in her senior year. She also has experience in gymnastics training as well as competitive and recreational cheerleading. She has performed with the Capital City Dancers and Crowd Pleasers Dance Camps, Inc. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Dance. Allison is excited to be teaching at Center Stage! She enjoys passing on her passion to her students and watching them grow and develop their own love for dance.

Amy

Amy has over 20 years of dance experience that she brings to Center Stage. She has trained at JoAnn Neal Dance Studio and The Turning Point in San Antonio. In high school, she served as Captain and then Colonel of the Marshall High School Ramblerette Dance Team. She has won numerous awards for her individual performances at competition as well as choreography awards. Amy received professional training from the University of Texas in ballet and modern dance. Her specialties include traditional jazz, stylistic jazz, modern, and lyrical dance. Amy received a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Texas. She currently works in real estate and teaches dance classes at Center Stage. Amy greatly enjoys the time she spends working with all of her students.

Allison

Allison began her dance training at a young age at Patty’s School of Dance in Waco. She continued her dance studies at Dancing Center Unlimited in Lockhart where she studied many genres of dance including ballet, pointe, tap, modern, jazz, and lyrical as well as cheerleading and tumbling. Allison spent two years training with master teacher, Tony Bravo of Ballet Austin. She took classes in ballet and jazz here at Center Stage and participated in Star Steppers dance team in Cedar Park. Allison plans to continue her dance studies working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Dance. We are excited to have one of our former students join our teaching staff. Allison brings her passion of dance to Center Stage, and she looks forward to sharing that passion with her students.

Lauren

Lauren began her dance training at a local studio in Houston, Texas. She took a variety of classes including ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, character, modern, and lyrical. She also performed in many local shows including The Nutcracker and Alice in Wonderland. In high school, Lauren was a member of the Kingwood High School Fillies, eventually working her way to Captain her junior and senior years. Her team competed and won the 2000 Marching Auxiliaries National Championship. She went on to dance at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College before transferring to the University of Texas. She is currently the director of Leander Middle School’s drill team. She teaches dance classes as well as 6th grade math classes. She is excited to share her love of dance with her students at Center Stage.

Bridget

Bridget has over 20 years of dance experience that she brings to Center Stage. She studied ballet, tap, jazz, and tumbling at La Grange Dance Academy and Angela Woodward’s School of Dance. As a young entrepreneur, Bridget opened a dance studio in La Grange. With her love for her students and her passion, the studio quickly grew into a very successful endeavor. Bridget co-directed, along with Michelle, an award winning competition team who competed in both regional and national competitions. Several of their students went on to study dance in college. Bridget went on to study business and finance at the University of Texas earning a Bachelor’s degree. She continued her education at Texas State where she earned a Master’s of Business Administration. In addition to her career in marketing, Bridget has become the marketing director for Center Stage. Bridget loves working with all of her students and hopes to foster a love of dance in them.

Talina

Talina has over 20 years of tumbling and cheerleading experience. She began gymnastics and ballet classes at the age of three. She became a member of Cheer Station's All-Star Cheerleading Squad in high school. At Cheer Station she was co-captain, helped win the National Championship in Nashville, Tennessee, and traveled to Dallas to perform in the Cotton Bowl's half-time show. She was elected to be head-cheerleader of the Varsity Lion Cheerleading Squad at LHS. Talina then went on to become a member of the University of Texas at Austin Co-ed Cheerleading Squad where she specialized in partner stunting. During her college summers, Talina traveled around Central Texas as a head instructor for Cheer Station. After earning a degree in Elementary Education with specializations in English and Kinesiology, Talina taught Language Arts at Leander Middle School where she co-coached the Tiger Cheerleading Squad and then at Running Brushy where she co-coached the Cougar Cheer Squad. Talina currently designs Language Arts curriculum and teaches home schooled students part time. She also keeps busy enjoying being a mom of three kids: Logan, JayeAna, and Shalynn. She is thrilled to be teaching cheerleading and tumbling in her hometown and is excited about sharing her love for the sport with each of her students.
